Cox London was founded in 2005 by Christopher and Nicola Cox. Together they create lighting and furniture, which is a fusion of classic, and inventive design, all tailor made in their London studio and workshop.
The couple met while studying sculpture in London. Nicola followed on from art school to become a sculptor working in bronze and glass, while Chris pursued a family tradition in the antiques industry developing into a skilled metalwork restorer and lighting designer.
Driven by a desire to make functional art pieces they began making objects and furniture together and have since been influenced and inspired by many aspects of modernism, classicism and European art.
Cox London has a reputation for ingenuity winning awards for Best Contemporary Design, Best in British Craftsmanship and House & Garden award for the Most Stylish Product at Decorex International. A gallery, design studio and workshop is located in north London and a new pImlico showroom now open at 194 Ebury Street.
