Nina Mae Fowler
In 2019, Fowler was awarded a major commission for The National Portrait Gallery called Luminary Drawings portraits of British Film Directors. 2022 sees a new fundraiser project called Cinema Portraits, portrait commissions of people watching films, with sitters including Jude Law, Sienna Miller and Caroline Issa.
Nina Mae Fowler (b. 1981) is known for her large-scale drawings that interrogates themes of celebrity, beauty, power and sexuality. Fowler’s works are exhibited internationally and held in public museum collections and private collections. Film, art, music and fashion luminaries such as Sir Ridley Scott, Jude Law, Daniel Templon and Roland Mouret are amongst her collectors.
Fowler is represented by Cob Gallery (London), Suzanne Tarasieve (Paris) and artnow Gallery (Berlin). She lives and works in Norfolk and is married to artist Craig Wylie.
